The Teacher Service Commission (TSC) of Nepal, based in Sanothimi, Bhaktapur, has announced an open competitive examination for the position of Lower Secondary Level Third Grade Teacher in community schools. Eligible candidates who meet the required qualifications are invited to apply online through the official TSC portal at https://online.tsc.gov.np.
Written Examination: General and Subject-based
Interview: To be scheduled after the Subject-based examination results
Written Examination Schedule:
General Examination: 2082/02/17 at 1:00 PM
Subject-based Examination: The date will be announced after the General Examination results.
Interview: Date, time, and venue will be confirmed after the Subject-based Examination results.
The exams will be held in the following districts:
Morang (Koshi Province)
Dhanusha (Madhesh Province)
Makwanpur (Bagmati Province)
Kaski (Gandaki Province)
Dang (Lumbini Province)
Surkhet (Karnali Province)
Kailali (Sudurpaschim Province)
Additional centers may be established if the number of applicants exceeds manageable limits. Updates will be provided on the TSC website.

Regular Submission: Until 2082/01/12
Late Submission (with double fee): Until 2082/01/19
Applicants must be at least 18 years old and not exceed 40 years by the final application deadline. This age limit does not apply to currently serving permanent teachers.
Applications must be submitted online via https://online.tsc.gov.np. Detailed submission instructions are available on the portal.
Before submitting your application, ensure all details are accurate, as no changes can be made after payment. Payment options are:
Bank Payment: Generate a voucher from the system, print it, and pay at Rastriya Banijya Bank or Nepal Bank Limited.
Online Payment: Choose "Pay Online" to complete the transaction using a digital wallet.
Regular Fee: Generate the voucher by 11:59 PM on 2082/01/12 and complete the payment by banking hours on 2082/01/13.
Double Fee: Generate the voucher by 11:59 PM on 2082/01/19 and pay by banking hours on 2082/01/20.
Payments can be made on the next working day if the deadline falls on a public holiday.
Nepali citizenship is required.
Candidates must meet eligibility criteria as per Rule 10 of the Teacher Service Commission Regulation, 2057 (including amendments).
Completion of the Secondary Education Examination (Class 12) or equivalent, with at least 200 full marks (or 8 credit hours) in a relevant subject, and a minimum of 10 months of training in education.
Candidates with a Class 12, Proficiency Certificate, or equivalent degree with 200 full marks in education-related subjects are considered trained.
Subject-Specific Requirements:
Social Studies: Acceptable subjects include Economics, History, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, etc.
Mathematics-Science: Candidates must have studied both subjects with at least 200 full marks each.
Candidates must hold a permanent teaching license for the lower secondary level.

Applicants are responsible for the accuracy of their submitted documents. False or incomplete submissions will lead to disqualification.
Indigenous/Janajati: Certification from the National Foundation for Development of Indigenous Nationalities Act, 2058.
Madhesi, Dalit, Minority Muslim, or Backward Class: Certification as per Nepal Gazette or local authority recommendation.
Persons with Disabilities: Disability ID card from the Social Welfare Council or local authority.
Backward Areas: Citizenship and local authority certification of permanent residence in designated districts.
Selection will be conducted at the provincial level.
Applicants can apply for only one province and one subject. Multiple applications will be disqualified.
The exam process applies equally to both open and inclusive categories.
Subject-based exams will be in Nepali or English, except for language subjects.
Age, educational qualifications, and training deadlines are based on the regular fee application deadline.
Late or incomplete applications will not be considered.
False documentation will result in disqualification and legal action.
Candidates with disabilities requiring an assistant writer must obtain approval from the Education Development and Coordination Unit.
Foreign degree holders must provide an equivalency certificate.
Candidates can only apply for subjects related to their teaching license.
Only candidates who pass the General Written Examination can proceed to the Subject-based Examination.
Black ink must be used during the examination; any other ink will result in cancellation of the answer sheet.
